The Oberoi Amarvilas Agra

We came to Agra to celebrate our 20th anniversary and this stay was epic from start to finish. The welcome at The Oberoi Amarvilās was like royalty; check-in was seamless, the team genuinely warm, and our room had a beautiful direct view of the Taj Mahal. We booked the “Dine Under the Stars” private balcony dinner—multi-course, top-quality food and flawless service. On short notice we also arranged a vow-renewal, and the hotel pulled it together perfectly. Luxury property, immaculate grounds, and hospitality that felt heartfelt, not scripted.

Our welcome was wonderful, the hotel is beautiful. The view of the Taj Mahal from our room was stunning. We have been fortunate to experience some really good hotels in our lives and the Oberoi Amarvilias near the Taj Mahal was exceptional in every way. The service by the lovely, helpful staff was faultless and I can not think of any way they can improve on it. The food was excellent too in both restaurants, and Aryan (Chef), made the most delicious little beetroot/feta samosas with a basil “twist” that were incredibly. If you want a special place to rest, reset in beautiful surrounding and take in the beauty of the Taj Mahal then you really should treat yourself and stay at this wonderful Oberoi Hotel.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking balcony view of the Taj Mahal – waking up to such a stunning sight was an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, exuding luxury and elegance in every detail. A special thanks to Anjali from the restaurant staff, whose attentive and friendly service made our dining experience exceptional, and to Imran from housekeeping, who went above and beyond to assist with last-minute flower arrangements, adding a thoughtful touch to our stay. The hotel also offers seamless transport to and from the Taj Mahal, making the experience even more convenient and enjoyable. A heartfelt thank you to the team for arranging a special birthday surprise for my wife, making the occasion even more memorable. The food was outstanding, the ambiance serene, and the entire experience was one of pure indulgence. We cannot recommend Oberoi Amarvilas highly enough and cannot wait to return!

Amazing hotel with stunning view overlooking the Taj Mahal ! We had romantic dinner at our balcony and it was one of the best we have ever had ! The food was also great . Best place to stay ! It’s just a few meters from Taj and they drive you with the hotel buggy. It’s also very close to Agra Fort . Just a short drive! We felt very welcome by the staff ! Oberoi is known for their excellent service . Can’t wait to visit in the next days Oberoi at Jaipur and Udaipur! I know I will have amazing stay there as well !

They ensured my stay was seamless, from arranging transportation to offering excellent recommendations for local attractions. The restaurant was another standout, where I enjoyed delicious meals while gazing out at the Taj Mahal. The food was top-notch, and the ambiance made every meal feel special. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Agra and wanting to be close to the Taj Mahal. It’s just a short walk to the entrance, which makes it so convenient to visit the monument at sunrise and sunset. I also appreciated the quiet and peaceful environment of the hotel, making it a true sanctuary after a day of sightseeing. Overall, my experience at this hotel was beyond exceptional.
